Inspect the Model
In this assignment you will use Camunda tools to look at a BPMN process and run it.
Go to the Camunda Modeler you installed and select to open a file browser.
Navigate to the working tree of your assignments repository and choose the make-offer.bpmn file, then open it.
Camunda Modeler will open the BPMN file and display the graphical process model of the Make Offer business process. The left hand side of the Modeler contains the Palette, which is used to add new elements to the model. On the right hand side of the model canvas there is a Properties pane, where you can inspect and modify the properties of the currently selected element.
Inspect the model to see if you understand what happens when the Make Offer process is performed. You don’t need to change anything just now; we’ll look into that later.
| You may have noticed that some of the tasks have a scroll icon which you don’t recognise - that means they’re Script Tasks; for now, just think of them as similar to Service Tasks. |
